Created originally by ilouis_07, Durgod teamed up with TianyueLab to make the one of a kind "Nutcracker". Whether you’re assembling a keyboard or disassembling your favorite switches, this switch tool makes it easy Read More
Hey guys,
Thank you all for flagging this to our attention. We got all caught up in the holiday business and missed the copy for this one.
There was also a bit of a miscommunication b/w us, our vendor and Durgod and we were not around to check out the samples. To clarify, Durgod received permission to make this product for ilouis_07/TianyueLab
I have asked copy/page to be updated, and give credit where it's due.
See this post for the latest: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/durgod-cnc-machined-aluminum-switch-puller/talk/2302056
Thanks again for your support and feedback!
We'll definitely do better, it's almost 2019, after all.
Best wishes
Understandable. I had made that comment before the designer responded and clarified everything. I'm really glad to see that the design wasnt stolen or anything :)
LevelSteamWell, the product descriptives has been edited.
I will not remove my comments made however, depending how they (massdrop) reply back to the designer himself. (notice the lack of @, I'm not here to seek the shaming of any party.)
This isnt a switch puller, it's an opener:

Edit- the thread I linked to is the original design of this device, what's for sale here is a copycat of that.
Edit 2- Looks like this was a collaborative effort between the original designer and durgod, but massdrop borked the description and title pretty badly so all of that info got left out.
If it's been licensed or if the guy gave Durgod permission that is entirely different from blatantly stealing something. This really needs to be cleared up.
I messaged the guy on reddit. Hopefully they will let us know.

It would be nice to find out that the designer of the nutcracker partnered with or licensed the design to durgod to make this happen, but given that Massdrop and durgod don't seem to know what this even is I'm not terribly optimistic.
Edit- Happy to be proven wrong! Turns out it was a collaboration but MD just really fudged up the description page.
