Keep your kids occupied and engaged with this set of building blocks from Tytan. Comprising 100 pieces of varying shape and size, the set is a great way to get kids thinking and building in creative and imaginative ways Read More
My wife used to work at a childcare center, where specifically this set was one of the most popular toys, and often fought over by the kids. They were used pretty heavily at the center, as you can imagine, and held up very well. Glad to get our own set now for home.
Our order arrived and the same day, our nephews were visiting and played with these for over an hour. They are great for building different structures, and they loved the little car piece they could build on.
Great item!
I just received these today - thanks, Massdrop!
Color-wise and size-wise these are completely compatible with MagnaTiles and PlayMags, BUT the magnets are a LOT weaker on these so if you use them with other Tytan pieces, it takes very little to break them apart. It's a bit more acceptable when mixing them with MagnaTiles or PlayMags.
The Tytan pieces are also lighter so hopefully they will be sturdy and last for awhile.
Overall this is still decent for the price, but if all I had were Tytan pieces, I'd have some flimsy structures.
HOLY CRAP MASSDROP, I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF THIS IS LESS THAN 9LBS SHIPPED SO I CAN SEE IF IT'S ELIGIBLE TO SEND TO A MILITARY ADDRESS. THE DROP IS ABOUT TO END AND NO RESPONSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
mr_skeltalI use them at my desk for inspiration on anything from furniture to building design, actually really fun and functional. I am a builder so that this is right up my alley.
AdamBI have a set of these Tytan brand tiles along with some name-brand Magna-Tiles and they are compatible. The colors are a little different (I think the Magna-Tiles brand product colors are a little more vibrant; they seem a little crisper).
The only other difference I noticed up close were the Magna-Tiles have tiny round holes in each corner whereas this brand does not. Not sure if you'd ever do anything with those tiny holes.
