u-Dot Chelsea-Style Sneakers

Made to order in Japan, these Chelsea boots by u-Dot are designed by Takumi Inomata and made in his workshop by a small team of craftsmen. Inomata’s award-winning work with Japanese brands led him to launch a line of his own in 2013, and his shoes have recently captured an international audience. Massdrop is proud to be among the first companies outside Japan to offer this celebrated footwear. Like Inomata’s other designs, these Chelsea-style high-tops feature a classic silhouette, and they’re made with premium materials: Italian suede upper and a shock-absorbent EVA outsole, to name two.

Easy to put on and easy to take off, Chelsea boots are also comfortable to wear. It’s typically not a recipe for a stylish shoe, but these sneaker-style boots are the exception. Similar to Jodhpurs, but with the addition of an elastic insert at the ankle, they’ve found their way onto the feet of celebrities everywhere, from the Beatles to Kanye West to Harry Styles. As versatile as they are comfortable, they can be dressed up or down, transitioning seamlessly from suit to jeans.

These shoes are natural leather and can be discolored by moisture, humidity, and wear. Please be careful wearing light-colored trousers and socks in rainy weather. Wearing dark trousers until decoloring has subsided is recommended. Be careful when walking in rain and snow, as shoes may be slippery. Please use a suitable cleaner to care for shoes.
