When you think of jeans you don’t traditionally think of recycled cafeteria trays. Oddly enough, that happens to be UBI-IND’s secret ingredient in its Modern Slim Leg line: a form-fitting cut that’s not too tight, but not too loose. The addition of recycled materials not only enhances the quality and character of the jeans, but it adds an element of sustainability, which, in today’s day and age, is a dying breed. Also uncommon for raw selvage denim, these double-needle-stitched jeans are being offered in a wide range of sizes to incorporate the big guys—all the way up to size 46 waist, to be exact. Crafted from White Oak Cone Selvage Denim, each pair is made by hand in North Carolina and sewn in San Francisco.
Note: At checkout, choose between raw black denim (11.5 oz) and raw indigo denim (13.75 oz) in sizes 30 to 46. See the sizing chart below for more info.
Timeless designs that get better with age. That’s UBI-IND’s calling card. Founded in 1999 by Ulrich "Ubi" Simpson, a long-time denim enthusiast and craftsman, UBI-IND strives to preserve traditional techniques without falling behind the curve. Using White Oak Cone Denim sourced form the longest running cotton mill in America and Blue River Laundry—a leader in sustainable waterless technology—the company crafts every pair of jeans by hand in the US, with the utmost attention to detail and customer service.
