I bought the NuForce uDAC-3 DAC/Amp Combo on the last drop, and within a day, the mini USB broke off completely. Unusable. I cannot tell if the issue was bad quality or a flaw in the manufacturing process. It sounded good while it lasted. Anyone have an idea how I can get it repaired or replaced by NuForce?

My brother's just arrived and it broke off the first time he plugged it in. Massdrop, can you do something to solve our problem? Or do we need to contact NuForce?

I just saw this thread and am glad to hear Massdrop took care of the problem. Two years ago I purchased this DAC/Amp (may have been version 2 at that time) anyhow, I had the same problem and did not purchase through Massdrop and had to ship it back to NuForce. It took them more than six months to finally send a repaired unit back. I am not sure if mine just fell through the cracks or if this is their "normal" - in any case, be glad Massdrop was there to back up the purchase!

The same thing has happened to me and I contacted Optoma for a replacement and sent it to them via USPS, but it was returned to sender. It's sitting on my counter now as a complete waste of time and money.
Edit: The shipping was USPS's fault, and Massdrop's amazing customer service took care of me now so I feel a lot better about it despite the bad USB design. Too bad, I really liked the amp for the short time I got to hear it!

I had a positive experience with Optoma/NuForce's customer service which an older model DAC/amp combo (NuForce Icon HDP) when my analog input stopped working. I can't speak for others who have had negative experiences, but I can say that it's definitely not universal.
