This was voted in by the ultralight community? Both the Hammock Gear Phoenix 20 and the Enlightened Equipment Revolt 20 weigh HALF as much as this at a similar price. Wtf

publicHG Phoenix is 3/4 quilt, their base full length 850 under quilt is 22oz using 12oz down and 10d fabrics, our is 22.85oz but with 13.84oz of down and 10d fabrics, EE is 18.62oz for 12.24oz 850 75" long quilt with 10d fabrics but includes no draft collars which both ours and HG include as standard. Mass drop has been asking for a UQ from us for 2 yrs, this was a result of the best selling options which are a more durable outer shell with slightly heavier suspension. Not everyone wants/needs the absolute bottom line lightest piece of gear available.

public Here is my Winter loadout minus food, fuel and water. Also note the quilts I am using are a wider UQ and a wider TQ. https://lighterpack.com/r/3o1lqu The weights of the Quilts Paul is sellling are for FULL length quilts, not short quilts like the Phoenix.

Is that not what the Outdoors section is for?

UGQPaulThis right here. Don't blame UGQ for where Massdrop puts the products they're working hard to sell. If I have the money this is a sure buy no hesitation (waiting on the Massdrop Quilt to be fulfilled). I don't need super crazy ultralight. A 20° system (this UQ and the Massdrop Quilt) weighs in at 3 pounds 0.13 ounces not including the hammock or tarp. That's for one of the most comfortable sleeping systems around. In my opinion the comfort of hammocks is well worth the weight compared to ground sleeping. If you want to be crazy ultralight get a cuben tarp or tent, quilt, and the lightest mat you can. Just know you'll be paying the price of the quilt for the mat, triple (or more) for the cuben shelter, and the cost of this quilt (or more) on a quilt to go over you.
