Great for the three that were local (I'm guessing that accounts for three), though that means the batch has been broken up.

That is excellent. It means they will send as they receive back from UE. Which means UE isn't holding the first 20-something until all of first batch are done, and Massdrop isn't then waiting for the entire first batch to arrive before slapping on tracking numbers and putting them on trucks.

All depends on how much each entity wants to spend on shipping. I imagine that Massdrop was surprised to learn of the two week delay after the initial discussion, thus UE went ahead and shipped what they had over to try and ameliorate the issue. How much of this will continue forward, who knows, but at the very least, those that were lucky to have impressions with UE early got the jump on everyone else.

Hope a fantastic holiday season and New Year was had by all. Quick update on this drop, UE's lab is in back in action and cranking out the impressions. We've already received 3 finished products at the office which we'll be sending out shortly. Once we've shipped the CIEM, you'll receive an email containing tracking information so you can start staring daggers at each delivery truck as it passes by your house.
We'll be sending out the second batch this week, so please do get your impressions in ASAP. I believe I've responded to everyone's emails that I've received so far - if you've emailed me and haven't gotten anything back yet, please pester me until I see it.
