The only thing that they offer as an explanation for the additional $200 for the UE-11Pro is that it includes "feel." Seriously, wtf? For $900 a little more than just saying that something has "punch" and "feel" ought to be provided.

GuyInPittsburghI agree they should mention more. I have these as customs and I love them. They were initially created when Jerry Harvey was at UE and since then have been carefully upgraded. They were and are still amazing iems. I have some other universals including Roxanne II, Noble K10, IMRs, JVC Woodies, Westone UMPro50 and W60 etc that all have their unique qualities but the UE11Pro is the one custom iem that does it all. Whenever I can wear a custom, I wear this guy. I can not recommend these enough in custom form. I don’t know how good they sound in universal form as you insert another variable in the mix with ear tips and ear canal shapes that might alter the sound a bit. In short, full, warm, punchy and overall satisfying low end performance that will make you smile, this is for pure music enjoyment. Bass and minds are stars of the show, but there is enough treble detail to keep you going. The UE11Pro are not analytical, these are the fun pair, the ones you want to go out and party with.

GuyInPittsburghHard for Massdrop to provide a more concrete description when they probably haven't even tried them before lol

koolpepHave you ever tried the UE18? I was considering that over the UE11, in CSX of course.

ippodropI have tried them in universal / demo form but for me the 11Pro was the better fit - financially. The UE18+ delivers more detail while still being a lot of fun. This was not the CSX though - and I think Gen2 not Gen3....so take that with a grain of salt.
koolpepThat's a very useful discription of the UE11Pro. I kind of like the idea of an analystical headphone, where I can keep the parts apart and follow them separately. Not voiced/colour added but neither sterile like a badly mixed lemonade. Too little syrup and too much water. I haven't had the change to listen to any of the UE products but I'm attracted to the UERR, just because of the product description.

koolpepJust had a few questions about the ue 11s. I'm currently using the custom art fibae blacks which I've been enjoying, but was wondering if these might be an upgrade. How does the ue 11 handle fast paced bass and songs with lots of sounds? I listen to mostly electronic genres, but also some rock and hip hop. How is the treble? One issue I've had with past iems such as the rha MA 750 was that I found the treble to be a bit too much and sibalance was an issue as I'm a bit sensitive to that, and in the long run, I just couldn't wear those very long. Was wondering how sharp the ue 11s can get even though I've heard they are pretty warm? Iems.

dwang040Hi! LEt me respond top down - treble - definitely polite and rolled off but enought for electronic genres (I myself am a huge electronic music fan) - no sibilance at all. I have them as mentioned in custom form and too harsh treble would kill them for me - they are just the right amount, free of fatigue. Bass - it's funny to describe it - as it's full and round very unlike a BA. So you get the speed of a BA and the warmth and nice deep bass of a dynamic with these. I don't think these are basshead level - but they put a few smiles on your face for sure. I remember the MA750s - had them for a time before selling them. Liked them too but as the T10 they had a bit much treble. These are a completely safe bet.

koolpepThanks for the info. These certainly do look very interesting and will go for a custom version of these sometime in the future. At this price point, I think I feel like I have to go custom for that comfort and seal.
