I've used many IEM's, and I'm disappointed with these, mainly from the fit and isolation perspective. None of the ear inserts fit me well (I must have freakishly large ear canals) and the UE900's don't accommodate any of my other inserts from either Westone or Shure triple-flange. I'll have to look for other solutions. Plus, they just don't fit as naturally as other IEM's. Not sure if its the memory wire or the shape of the earpieces, but I haven't found a comfortable position or good seal yet.
I'm a Westone fan, and will probably go back to them (need to stop leaving them on airplanes!)
I’ve found triple flanges tips to give a way better seal with these. Although they add a bit of low end grunt which might not be what you want
Thanks! I would like more low-end, what brand of triple flange fit for you? My Shure's did not.
I used the tips of my etymotic ER4SR. let’s say that it’s a very tight fit but with a bit of time on your hand you can make them fit.
I have the same problem. I can't get a seal. I was looking to these for an upgrade from my Shure SE-215. On my Shures I have 15.5mm memory foam tips. I've been looking around online and contacted UE directly and it would appear that there's no solution but to return them... :(
I tried large size spin fits and spiral dots or whatever, neither helped. Unfortunately I’m done with these, but may be too late to return.
Anyone want to buy a pair of like new UE’s?
How much you want for them?
I paid $187 and would want $140, including extra sets of like new Spiral Dots and Spin Fits (size L). Have original packaging and ear tips. Only used a few times.
They are boxed up and ready to sell. I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Interested?
