Even with the full drop, it's not worth it for me to order in Canada (shipping and duties!)

Nix2709We recognize that this may be the case for our international community members. We think there may be more sensible places for you to order these considering shipping and would encourage you to do so if that is the case.
We added international shipping to this drop mostly because it was widely requested on a previous sleeve drop and quite a few international members did decide to participate in that one.
Ultimately, we want to offer the best deal to as many people as possible on each drop and we will make international shipping available whenever it is possible to do so in a reasonable way. We understand that access to those products and their local pricing varies from country to country, but we believe that offering a reasonable international shipping option to more of the community is better than limiting these drops to specific regions.
As always, our logistics team is constantly looking into ways to make shipping better for everyone.

cameronbachmanIs it not possible to try and find a Canadian reseller for these kinds of drops?

RowdyJokerThis is certainly possible, and will become more viable as the Hobby Shop community continues to grow. If we split orders to separate vendors based on geography, there are a couple complications. The biggest obstacles are getting the same deal from multiple vendors at the same time and then having enough volume going through both to achieve the bulk discounts that our community expects.
I think it is definitely something we will do at some point, but can't tell you exactly when we will be able to.

cameronbachmanI don't know how much trouble it would be, but maybe there could be some kind of logistic where if there's enough orders in a certain region (let's say Canada for this one), there could be an option where they are sent in bulk to a proxy in the region and then sent from there to all participants and this would (ideally) result in a lower shipping cost option for the region. I know it might add complexity of some kind but for some very big drops it could become interesting if this could lower the the shipping cost significantly for a specific region. There could then be an option to commit if the regional objective is reached for example! Anyway, I understand that you are trying your best to provide us some nice drops at good deals and that it's not always so simple for international buyers!

Jean-PascalThanks for the suggestions! Along with our logistics team, we are constantly evaluating ways of streamlining shipping methods and have already explored some of these options. I definitely think that costs will decrease as the community gets bigger. There are a lot of variables, and it will take time, but things will improve over time.
