I don't game on a keyboard, but I've definitely noticed the 2KRO limit. I'm a programmer.
If you don't like a heavy key feel, you might hate buckling spring. Way too heavy for me. My SO, who pounds the heck out of the keyboard, loves buckling spring. YMMV.
