I had an old '89 model M that I used and cherished for most of my computer-loving life ('93-2012) and I can tell you after using Cherry MX Blues from 2012 'till now, that no keyboard has or will EVER beat the typing sensation and JOY of a buckling spring keyboard. Cherry switches are a nice substitute.. but I promise you, after receiving this keyboard, you're going to be looking for excuses to type things.. anything. I actually owned this exact keyboard for a brief time.. I purchased it from Unicomp directly and at the 2-month mark, my now-Ex--Girlfriend spilled a softdrink on it. Don't do that, cleaning these is nigh impossible.. But otherwise, it'll be the best keyboard you've ever owned. I really can't give it enough praise, and had I known this drop was coming, I would've held off on this new Corsair k70 and went with this Unicomp classic. (PS; If you have children or a wife in the same room as the keyboard, expect to be yelled at if they're trying to rest or it's late at night as they are roughly 1.5-2x the 'noise' and volume of a Cherry MX Blue) TL;DR -- Best keyboard MD's ever featured.

sethdomenicFrom what I can tell; its a fair price if you really want the grey and white key cap combo option. You pretty much have to order the keycaps separately throu unicomp (Color Key Sets; about 30 for blanks). Shipping is slightly cheaper with MD it seems. Otherwise about the same price as unicomp's list price if you go all white for keycaps.

MashrienI recommend anyone concerned with noise google the floss mod for the model M. I have done it on my Ms and it quieted them a lot and actually made them feel a bit smoother.

sethdomenicIt is, actually.. When I bought mine directly from Unicomp, I believe I paid $130.
