So I ordered mine directly from Unicomp on the second day of this drop, and received it yesterday. I wasn't really sold on the MD keycap colors, and just wanted to try the buckling springs more than anything. After having it for a couple days now I can say it is in fact a decent keyboard, and I enjoy the buckling springs. Couple things I've noticed about it so far though.
CRITICAL POINTS: Some of the keycaps have a bit of flash around their edges, I was thinking about tumbling the keys in some walnut shells to smooth them out a bit
Some of the stabilizers are less than perfect. I found pushing the far right side of my right shift key could cause it to lock-up on a depress.
Some of the keycap printing is less than perfect, I had 2 keys where the printing was touching the edge of the keycap, where every other key had a little 2-3mm margin from the side of the cap.
NIETHER HERE NOR THERE: This board weighs a ton, like more than you think possible for something with a plastic case. I'm not fully convinced they didn't just put bars of steel in it. I kinda like it, others might not.
PRAISE: The buckling springs are really cool and satisfying to type on. Everything you type is now with purpose and intent. You feel super important writing out comments on online forums.
The springs have a satisfying final click because of the 'hammer' action. The sound is definitely more 'springy' than clicky, it's very distinct, and does not sound like any of my other boards.
GENERAL: I think they have more vertical travel than my Cherry MX Reds I was using, and obviously they're much stiffer. I have another board with MX Greens, and I'd swear it's just a slight bit harder to depress then the greens too. I might take the switches apart and polish them and see if that changes the feel at all.
Overall happy with the board, but I don't know if I will be using it for everyday stuff. It's kinda crap for FPS gaming, or at least for my play style. In the mean time my desk is big enough to have 2 keyboards between me and my screen, so I just run my Reds for gaming and the Unicomp for playing around with for the next month.
