4 Different Fixed Blades With Multipurpose Sheaths
Utica Cutlery’s Survival Series is built for the great outdoors. From the tough 1095 steel used for the blade to the contoured handles, they’re designed for a strong hold in dust, rain, and muck. The handle on each knife—four of which are offered, each in a different size—is made from thick slabs of micarta with undulating grooves for finger placement. The base of the blade has a pointed lanyard hole, which could be used to break glass in an emergency. All knives in the series come with a kydex sheath, but this sheath is much more than meets the eye: it has a built-in sharpening hole, plus a ferrocerium rod and striker to help you start a fire in a pinch.
