What is SpaceFN and why you should give it a try
The SpaceFN concept - setting up your space key as a layer switch when held - is probably one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby. Let me explain how it works. My SpaceFN article on kbd.news made some rounds recently - quite surprisingly given the age of this concept. This piece you're reading is a condensed version of the full post. If you're left with unanswered questions, you'll most likely find the info you're looking for in the original write-up. On my imaginary top list of the most useful keyboard features, tweaks and hacks, SpaceFN would deserve a podium finish for sure. But what makes it so special? In short: SpaceFN is easy to implement, easy to learn, costs nothing, can be used with any keyboard, and can improve your productivity instantly. I will list its benefits below, but can state right at this point that the SpaceFN concept, setting up your space key as a layer switch when held, is clearly one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby....

This thing is amazing, my usual KB is a DAS 4C Ultimate with Cherry blues and although this KB has the same switches plus the leds is not as clicky-clacky but still noisy. Love it so far.
I am sorta new to the newest mech KB and I noticed that this one has some "soft" feeling in the top of the keycaps, probably nothing to worry about but it feels like I could scratch them with my nails (nothing bizarre very short nails like 2-3 mm) is this possible?
Man oh man! I think I am gonna get used to this KB pretty soon the FN key is magic!
A bit confused with the content of the package, the "user manual" states that the items are:
- Keyboard - Cable - Replacement keycaps - Keycap puller
But the last two weren't in the package, is this "normal"?
Everything typed in my V60.
Probably nothing to worry about (just being a little picky) but the TAB key does a "funny" noise when pressed on its left side. The sound is like if the end of the keycap were rubbing the internal wall of the KB case/enclosure, the key with the "pipe/backslash" is fine in the other end of the same row. EDIT 2:
Are the keycaps in the following link available someplace else?
Is it possible to achieve the half-half color (see image)? Do I need the firmware updater (link broken in this massdrop description)? https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/1924893_837001346325340_995378109_n.jpg?oh=bc4795bd417925abb0e805742cec5200&oe=57E263BE
EDIT 4: I like the fact that this keyboard works on both Linux and OS X without making any configurations, it is really great!
The backlit color "split" seems not to be a thing for this KB, could not find the right video on youtube... post the question on FB chat to KBP and their answer was that is not possible to do this of course a quick search and you will find pictures of this KB with the half and half color but those pictures are maybe just to show the two colors in one picture.
Check your manual, there it's stated that you get extra keycaps, cable and key puller apart from the KB itself.
