Yeah, sorry, I just about never swear, but WTF?!?
The shipping box was perfectly fine. Here is what I received inside.
The part that totally steams me is that the box was clearly severely damaged, yet it was taped up again to hold it in one piece so it could be shipped out to a customer.
I’ll Say that again: ...the box was CLEARLY SEVERELY DAMAGED, YET IT WAS TAPED UP AGAIN TO HOLD IT IN ONE PIECE SO IT COULD BE SHIPPED OUT TO A CUSTOMER.
This is totally shameful customer service.
Will someone from Massdrop contact me to get this embarrassment of a customer service situation straightened out?
I literally can’t believe it.

Yes, I am in contact with Massdrop to return it.
No, this box was not damaged in transit. This box was packed inside a different outer box, and that box arrived in PERFECT condition.
It was only after I opened the larger box did I discover this damaged box inside.
Again, to make it perfectly clear, this box was found to be severely damaged by someone, who then TAPED IT UP IN ORDER FOR IT TO BE SENT TO A CUSTOMER ANYWAY.
I presume that happened at the factory. Then whoever packed this into the outer shipping box at Massdrop either wasn’t paying attention enough, or didn’t care enough, to pull this broken box out of circulation (or did someone at Massdrop tape up the broken box? It seems unlikely, but still possible).
So, no, the box was NOT damaged in transit. It was damaged and then taped up well before it was shipped.

But what occurred is very, very poor business practice. None of those things compensates me nearly enough for the time and trouble to return it to your company in Taiwan, not to mention the cost of the shipping.
What‘s most upsetting to me is that it doesn’t seem to bother anyone that a clearly broken product was taped up so it could shipped out to a customer despite the severe damage.
Am I missing something, here?

Bulk order shipped! The vendor informed us that the group's order was picked up and is on its way to our warehouse in New Jersey. Based on the tracking provided, the order is scheduled to arrive on 10/26.

This section is included at the bottom of every page. The estimated Ship Date refers to the date which it will leave our warehouse and ship to you. Let me know if you have any other questions.

AlexPkI'm really confused. The description page says there's an "estimated" ship time (which has past). I usually interpret estimated to mean whatever time frame I personally feel it should be. I find it unreasonable and frankly illegal that massdrop doesn't follow this. Please hand over your email server so we can verify what you are saying. Also please give a discount and refund, inshallah.

I picked up a V80 with clears on the last drop and sold it to a friend. Was looking to buy one again for myself this time around, but guess not.

Can MassDrop confirm that these will use the revised Matias switches? Matias stated on GH that they revised tooling so the newest switches will have much less wobble.

es·ti·mate verb past tense: estimated; past participle: estimated ˈestəˌmāt/
roughly calculate or judge the value, number, quantity, or extent of.
Massdrop is clearly not the site you should be ordering from. Use Amazon if you're looking for 2-day shipping. You can't blame Massdrop for delays, they're pretty transparent that orders can easily get held up.

PolarKenThey're pretty much Tai-Hao. can't confirm if it's OEM by Tai-Hao but the quality is almost identical.

I'm super tempted but the unexpected 15 dollar upcharge on clears and reds is really disappointing, I don't necessarily mind different prices but I think it should be clearly stated in the description.
