I just want to point out, that if you try to poor a 1.75 liter bottle of...say...vodka, into a 1.5 liter Vapur Water Bottle, it won't all fit.

You know...just pointing that out.

Surely the .25l can be knocked back and then all will be well with the world.

Are they all made of the same material? That crinkle plastic like the Sawyer squeeze bags? The matte colored bags look like they are made of a softer plastic or is that just an illusion?

Hey, experience and knowledgeable hikers, 99.9% of protozoa sound like it might as well be 0% because of how many protozoa could be in a liter of water? Does this number sounds acceptable, should I even be concern about protozoa?

If you're using a Sawyer it's way better than 99.9% and anyways, getting sick from something like this is a numbers game. Your body has lots of defenses too, and it's easier to defend against 100 protozoa than it is from 10,000.

Hey--let's try to be a little more inclusive and a little more tolerant, shall we? Protozoa are people too!

I got one too. It seems entirely identical to the vapur ones (but it's .7L). The price on those has gone up a fair bit, probably because the secret's out now (same thing happened with the big agnes clone tents). You can get a 3 pack for 8.95 with free shipping, though. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3-x-Light-Sport-Water-Bottle-Flexible-Collapsible-Foldable-Reusable-Outdoor-0-7L/253572607369?hash=item3b0a1aed89:g:vQcAAOSwfxFbh8yO:rk:14:pf:0

Those are counterfeit version from eBay-ina! "Ah, eBay-ina, if you're listening, MD would appreciate it if you would stop selling their stuff for a lot less money. I think MD would reward you mightily if you'd, you know, knock it off..."

I've been using Vapur bottles for years, and I generally like them a lot. I had no problems until I bought a DrinkLink through MD and the 1.5L bottle started leaking on me after a few months. It surprised me since my several years old bottles that I carry/use almost daily haven't leaked. Vapur replaced my leaking 1.5L bottle and so far the replacement has held up longer. I guess time will tell.
I've mostly had good luck with Vapur. 5 good bottles to 1 leaking bottle. The oldest two (and still most used) bottles are about 5-6 years old.
That said, I've seen a lot of comments on MD from people with leaking bottles. Anecdotally it seems that if your bottle is going to spring a leak, it will do so in the first 2-3 months.
It's still a great concept, and (in my opinion) one of the best designs for a collapsible water bottle. But it seems that the quality control isn't perfect, so you're taking a risk. At least in my experience, they replaced the leaking bottle for free.

Also had one of my Vapur’s develop a leak. Contacted them and they quickly replaced it, too. Good products, good warranty and service. Now if they could just help me to keep from losing them......

I bought two of these bottles with the DrinkLink system. I really like them but after 4 months both bottles started leaking. One from the shoulder (first image) and the other from the bottom (second image). Not a big deal when you're in the city, but when you're in the backcountry, it gets pretty annoying. I contacted Vapur about it, but they never got back to me. Sad to say, I'll have to look elsewhere for a more durable hydration system.
