Both a water bottle and a pot, the Vargo Titanium BOT is an all-in-one system that saves you weight and space. Made of lightweight, biocompatible titanium, each bottle features a screw-top lid with a temperature-resistant O-ring to prevent it from leaking in your bag Read More
So for the big pot and the long spoon I'm up to $113 with nothing to eat yet and no stove to cook the food I don't have?
That's about the same money I'd spend for dinner and drinks at Twin Peaks, where the food is better and the scenery arguably better than (fill in the blank) State Park and, don't forget, I get to sleep in my own bed when it's all over.
So, still thinking.
Will the smaller version of this double as a coffee cup without burning your lips off when it's hot? I was looking for a plastic add-on or something that would protect your lips. With something like that it would be the perfect pot!
Bought this a while back on amazon, And it’s pretty good overall. My only gripe is that the lid has this weird curvature/lip at the edge which food gets stuck in and is a pain to clean. Not sure if it’s been updated since then.
Re: price comments, ti is a very difficult material to work with. These bots are a deep draw (diameter to length ratio) requiring multiple operations/ more costly tooling. Given the volume they sell they are priced about right.
Thanks for the response, and the picture!
Got one more question; There seems to be some wiggle-room when those canisters are in there. Is that correct? If so, is there any chance of jamming a spoon down there between the wall of the mug and the canisters? I take it the Vargo spoon is too long to fit, even in the 1L version, but a shorter spoon?
Definitely wiggle-room. A rough guess might be about 1/4 inch. What I do is use a folded paper towel to reduce rattle. (Fold into a square, lay it on the top, then push it down in with the canister)

On the left is the 1L with two 110g canisters, Toaks spoon(not folding), Pocket Rocket 2, and a mini Bic.
On the right is the 700mL with one canister, Toaks folding spoon, Snow Peak LiteMax, and a mini Bic.
The lids screw onto both.
The 1L requires a little giggle to get the lid to slip down around the burner but it fits.
Am I correct that the price for this 1L Bot HD is less expensive than the one I just bought at the start of the month from Massdrop (and haven’t even received yet?). Only looks like $5 difference but geez.
Received today. Very happy. The BOT has been, since I got the original, my vessel
of choice. My only regret was the lack of handles. That has been remedied. If I had a suggestion for improvement, I would suggest changing the lip of the lid to either flat or sealed. It’s difficult to clean the open area. Small grains like quinoa can and do get stuck. I’ve never found a decent solution to cleaning it with satisfaction. I’m considering some sort of epoxy to seal.
