Reminds me a lot of the CTRL Keyboard. It's beautiful but crazy expensive considering the features that you get with it. I get that it's a custom board, but $250 just for a sub-par custom set is seriously overpriced imo. They should at least include hotswap sockets, more switch variety (something other than Cherry's), and add some keycap choices on there.
That being said those keycaps that already come included are quite nice; ordering them seperately from the keyboard would be an easy buy for me. For now though, I'll be keeping my CTRL keyboard.
abit too expensive for the keyboard
-non hotswappable
-not a huge selection of switches
-cant pick the keycaps of choice
and also living in singapore i can get this exact keyboard for half the price in a mechanical keyboard shop due to currency difference + without shipping XD
I feel some of these keyboard manufacturers haven't kept up with innovation and shifting interests of the keyboard community, Varmilo included. By including hotswap sockets, this board would've peaked the interest of many enthusiasts, especially those looking at hi-pro CTRL, for example. Without it, it's just another over-priced mass-manufactured board, IMO. Hotswap sockets are by no means the only way to make this attractive to enthusiasts, but I believe it would've been the easiest thing to do. Like someone else said earlier, an EC board with aluminum case would've also been a great opportunity - I certainly would've looked at it long and hard even though I'd quit TKL form factor.
HangIt would be a great start, but I suspect it would not be enough for many, especially those who want to lube switches. Once you lube, you don't go back to unlubed, after all. Desoldering is always an option, but who has time for that when there are better, cheaper options?
BougaTruly 'eye of the beholder' then, 'cause dawg, they fugly as Comic Sans to these peepers.

Normal price of the regular keyboard is $146 (not sure if it was on Drop before?). The aluminum case is effectively a $111 premium. Probably a good price if this is exactly what you're looking for.
I prefer EC switches - if this was a Topre clone or something, I would have been game. I hope the Atom 86 Alu finds it way to Drop one day.
Seems like D (Formerly MD) is just slapping $75 on to the price of every aluminum keyboard because it is what Apple would do. Or there is a cashflow problem. Either way, this should be a $175 keyboard.
Too expensive for what it is...Especially when you discover what are drawbacks... I own the previous version with mini USB, mechanical , 87 caps , bluetooth Varmilo.
The drawbacks:
1) There is no indicator when the battery is out. Suddenly it just stops working...
2) When I bought keyboard- there was specified battery capacity 10000mah.
But when I opened it there was jus 1000mah. After testing is appeared that actually there was only 890mah.
I don't know if these drawbacks are present in updated version but...
Just be aware.

AndrewByzhynarI don't think bluetooth is included in the model - at least I can't find any mention of it.
If it is not bluetooth version - everything should be fine. I do like my keyboard even with the drawbacks specified above. I have replaced original battery in my keyboard with 4000mah (bought on Aliexpress). Anyway I don't like the moment when it stops working suddenly... It is always unexpected.
But anyway it is too expensive. There are other great but less expensive alternatives on kickstarter.
