Hi. i'm purchased with gateron clear switch. This switch is very light(35gram).
But Too lightweight, Key is pressed twice, sometimes. (About once a hundred times...)
It is quite inconvenient.
storybookpagesSurely it varies from person to person. My one and only mechanical keyboard has Cherry Blue's, but over time I have realised they are too tough for me. I feel as though I am very deft and light-fingered with my typing so I figured Gateron Clear's would be perfect. Only time will tell I suppose.
NeurionWell I just hope I like these Gateron clear switches though, cause I really like the whole look of this keyboard - with the raised keys and backlighting.
I'm using Cherry browns (which I don't have too many issues with) so I suppose it would've been a wiser choice to go with Gateron browns rather than try something totally different.
storybookpagesFrom what I've read, Gateron Clears are completely different from MX Clears; they're linear with a light actuation force. According to a prior massdrop for Gateron switches, here are the specifics:
Blacks - 50g Linear
Blues - 55g Clicky
Clears - 35g Linear
Browns - 45g Tactile
Reds - 45g Linear
Yellows - 50g Linear
I'm realy sorry if it's too late and you weren't aware. Normally the naming conventions for switches are based DIRECTLY off of Cherry MX Switches, but I guess Gateron had something different in mind for their clears... :(
