Nice to see some wide fit boots that are well regarded available! I think these were top 2 for the OutdoorGearLab boot reviews?
Unlike the breeze 3's these have fewer stitched pieces and are more sturdy in mild winter conditions. Compared to my 3 sets of Keen's i would take the St Elias every time.
And unlike my Keen's the sole won't explode after a single 100km trail.

I own these boots, they're comfy but the 3 top lace hooks are so cheap they snap and bend!

Found these on amazon for ~$87 with free shipping if you have prime. That price is only for select sizes though. Turns out I'm one of the lucky ones. If you're a 9W then you can get these boots for $87!

I have these boots and the lace hooks are horrible, they bend as they're not strong and also snap off!

I'm really cautious about buying from the Vasque range anymore. I bought a pair of Vasque Rangers some time ago and within 6 months the side of one boot started splitting behind the toe cap. Glued the split but it just split again next to the repair. Before long, both boots has split on both sides and soon after that, the Goretex membrane failed. I hadn't used them in any rugged terrain either, mostly just walking to work (about 20 min each way). I kept using them in good weather but the soul wore through. So within 12 months of general easy walking, they are toast. The construction of these Vasque boots looks very similar to the Rangers in that the failed suede like material is the same though the toe cap is smaller on these. They were more comfortable than any other hiking boot I tried though, a good fit for my feet I guess.

I have had these boots on my radar for awhile, and $125.00 is right around the best price that I have seem for awhile.
Most sites like REI, and others like Amazon have them at around $199.00 in my size.
So even with the dreaded Massdrop shipping included, the price is still a little bit lower than Backcountry's current price of around $139.00.
I wore the Vasque Zephyr GTX boots for many years, but the last pair that I wore did not seem to last as long as the others, and literally "de-soled" or perhaps delaminated as I reached the end of a long trail that I was on, (perfect timing), so I was able to limp back to my vehicle while my delaminated sole clapped against the ground.
I remember that Vasque used to be made in the USA, and Italy, if memory serves, then the manufacturing went , were else, China!
Anyway, I digress...
By the way...these Vasque St. Elias boots are heavy, but have consistently received good reviews from the guys at the Outdoor Gear Lab.
You can see the list of over priced hiking boots that they reviewed here:
https://www.outdoorgearlab.com/reviews/shoes-and-boots/hiking-boots/vasque-st-elias-gtx
However, the Vasque boots are not their highest rated pick, and at the top of my list is the Salomon Quest 4D 2 GTX boots, (also heavy), and perhaps the Hoka One One Tor Ultra Hi WP, which are very light!
Still, you probably won't go wrong with any of these boots, and Vasque does offer wide sizes too, just don't like the prices, but again the $100 to $125 range seems fair, and somewhat palatable.
I do however have one thing that makes me cautious about purchasing boots or shoes on Massdrop, and that is the fear of purchasing the boot, and then finding out that it does not fit correctly.
Massdrop has a thirty day return policy, but here is the specific wording of that policy... "We only offer returns for items that arrive damaged, defective, not as advertised, or missing components. When drops are completed, we submit the group's order to the vendor up front. This is how we’re able to deliver the best value to our members and is also why all sales are final. In the event that a product arrives damaged, defective, not as advertised, or missing components, please contact Massdrop Support and we’ll assist you."
There is nothing about sizing in that policy, and all sales are final, so I am unsure about purchasing, and having an issue, as anytime that I have purchased sneakers, or shoes online, I have undoubtedly had to return them.
Vasque's return policy only seems to apply if you purchased from Vasque directly, and they state that you must return to the authorized dealer where you purchased the boots, if you did not purchase directly from them. https://www.vasque.com/USD/page/returns-policy
Unless I am missing something, I think that Massdrop should clarify the return policy on the drop page, especially for shoes and boots.

I've been using these boots for a couple of years and have 500+ miles on them. They've performed well in a variety of conditions, from 4" deep in muddy Scottish trails to scrambling around on Sierra granite. They're not the lightest boots out there, but they're sturdy and supportive, and I've found them durable. I have one lace that's starting to fray, and there's a scratch in the leather from a misplaced trekking pole, but otherwise they're holding up great. Highly recommended, and I'll second the other commenter who noted they're good for people with wide feet.

bayhikerI agree completely! Perfect for my wide and tall foot! Also, the water-proofing and Gortex perform well, even after a few years and many miles as well.

I have these boots, they have survived 3 hard seasons of elk hunting in New Mexico. some thoughts they tend to run wide, which is great for my paddle feet. I have had one eyelet come off and it was after 2 years of use, a local cobbler put a new one on for 10$. I find after 3 seasons the boots are getting a little soft and lack the stability my special needs feet require for mountain bushwacking. so i've purchased another set from REI and my old ones have been consigned to winter wear and light trail usage.
