after listening to these for a few days i have mixed feeling for them. they are like a better version of the free airplane headphones, or perhaps ones you would buy in the airport for 10-15$. I'm fine with the build quality for the price. i find them comfortable to wear and listed to for a couple hours without hurting my ears. They hold the clarity of the sound up to higher volumes without distorting, and i think they tend to sound better on more processed music. my biggest problem is the sound they produce isn't as detailed as i like. i listen to everything from metal to classical and i notice parts of my favorite songs just aren't there or are really muffled. The more subtle sounds and details are what make music worth listening to for me, and these just cut them out. on the other hand they are 5$, and hard to beat for the price. i think if i didn't already have 3-5 earbuds to choose from i probably would like them more, but i think i would rather listen to something else, such as apple or samsung earbuds even at the gym. it could be my pair i received or perhaps its just me, but i'm not sure if i like them. i would rate the value is 4.5/5 but sound is like 2.5/5.
after reading Koshman's comment about moving the position of the earbuds they do sound better, but its like a 30-40 degree angle for my ears, which are ok if i want to hold each one non stop. i think in that position they do sound good but for me they just don't work awesome how they naturally sit. its worth the 5$ to try it out, i might give them away as a cheap present.
