Maybe it's my ears but I cannot get them to fit, even with the additional Ex Pack. I've played around with them for the better part of an hour and still they are not staying put in my ears AT ALL!! I have better sounding/fitting earbuds in my arsenal that only cost a little bit more but are more than worth the extra cost in my time and aggravation spent in trying to get this cheap ass set to work for me. I just don't see what the hype is all about. In my opinion, you get what you pay for. You pay $5.00, you get a $5.00 product. i can't be bothered with these anymore, not even worth my time to try and return them for five bucks. It would have been less of an aggravation had I just lit a twenty dollar bill on fire!!

mjonesSame - the fit on these is terrible. I bought the "expansion pack" and nothing made these fit well in my ears. I had three friends try them out, too, but it didn't fit in any of their ears comfortably... so I just threw them in the trash. That said, if I crammed them painfully into my ears and held them there, they sounded pretty good!

mjonesThis is always so funny to read to me, I don't know what it is about my stupid ears but Monks are the only headphones that fit me, in-ear or anything sold as in-ear, do not fit into my ear canals, even at the smallest bud size.
Let me tell you my story, after apple discontinued the original buds they included with the ipod (around 2008), very similar in style to monks, I realized the whole world was moving away from UFO, or dish style earbuds (monk style). I thought that I was SOL, I thought that I would not ever be able to listen to earbuds that just fit in your ears, and I would have to use wraparound hook style buds if I needed to listen to something and over ear headphones wouldn't cut it.
A few years go by, and I had lost hope, Bluetooth at least had become standard so I was able to listen to things on the go a bit easier than I had in the past. But I still needed to carry around a case for the headphones, I couldn't just throw them into my bag, and I can only wear the hooks for about 30 mins to an hour before I start to feel discomfort.
Enter Venture Electronics and the Monk. It's been nearly 10 years with needing to hook my buds to the backs of my ears, and now not only do I get to use something that fits, but I get to listen to the best soundstage (imo) for under $100, all day long.
So now I have 30 pairs of monks or so, I buy 5 pairs when massdrop comes out with a new color, and I've bought the limited editions from VecLan.com - I'm not going to be unprepared when this tooling is finally killed.
