I've been using the monk+ for a couple years now. I remember when I first got them I thought they sounded great, especially using the bass boost on my Fiio A3 amp. After getting the VE Zen 2.0, dt770, and 58X, P2, Porta Pro's, mulitple chi-fi iems etc., my monks fell to the wayside, and who could blame me I had apparently much better options available to me?
Well, I came back to my monks a few months back and I can't put them down. I find myself choosing the monks over all my other options and I don't know why. I just love the way they present my music. I know they're not supposed to be able to touch my other options because they are technically worse on almost every level, but I like listening to music on my monks more. I pair them with Tidal HiFi and a Zorloo ZuperDac-S on the go and a Schitt Stack(fulla 2 dac into magni 3) at home.
There's gotta be something wrong with me haha. Does anyone else love their monks more than maybe they should??
