I just received these today. as much as I love headphones, I cannot use IEMs due to comfort issues. I just don't like having stuff stuck deep inside my ear canals. that's the reason I wear headphones. I miss the days back in the late 80s/ all throughout the 90s when portable cassette/ CD players came with earbuds. my favourite pair back then was the Sony MDR E888LP. I loved them so much that I think I had a total of 3 pairs that I used from the days when I used to own a Walkman, Discman and eventually the iPod U2 special edition. I was sad when I realised that Sony wouldn't be making anymore of these. many years later, listening to the VE Monk Plus, I get reminded of the good days when I enjoyed so much of my music with the Sony MDR E888LP. Thank you VE for allowing me to relive some good memories of my youth :)
