How do the Monk Plus earbuds compare to the IEMs Samsung includes with their S7? I'm assuming the Monks would easily top Samsung's IEMs but I'd appreciate a second opinion.
BiblebenI don't currently own a pair of Samsungs, but the last time I used them I was watching a video with a friend, and I remember criticizing how they sounded. I didn't quite like them too much, but I quite like the Monks.
BiblebenIf that one is exactly the one with S6e, I'll have to say go for the one with a mic if it's what you need. Monk plus earbuds are budgeted hifi buds for beginners, but also welcomed by some experienced audiophiles.
BiblebenI think so because they look the same as my S6e buds. I've just tested whether they worked and put them aside. I don't need the mic, but hifi gadgets.
ZerousenIIRC Samsung has changed up their earphone design over the past few smartphone generations. Do you remember if the ones you used were more like
BiblebenI've tried them all, was not a fan of any of them. The newer ones from the Galaxy S7 were decent, but I still prefer the Monk's sound. Comfort wise however, the newer, earpod like design was better for me.
BiblebenI've got the latter ones. Decent sound for communicating, but still far away from high fidelity. Monk beta bring you closer to hifi. Monk, much closer. Monk plus finally get you there. But it's just the beginning of a long and winding road. By the way, I do have Monk earbuds of these 3 generations.
