just got them today at the office. I agree with the person above, the color looks much better vs what is shown on the front page. I'm glad because I was worried it would be super tacky red, but it looks pretty nice actually.
Comfort wise, the casing is nothing special so it's no more or less comfortable than any other standard earbuds. I'm still undecided about the foam. They kinda tickle my ears in an uncomfortable way, but still better than bare plastic I suppose. The sound is excellent with or without foam, so it's up to you. Sonically, it's as we all know. These sound much better than the price would suggest. These are a mid centric pair with a wide soundstage. Anything with focus on vocals sound great. The tradeoff for the wide soundstage is how open these are, and therefore how leaky they are. They aren't as bad as a full open back set of cans in terms of noise leakage, but expect some leakage in a quiet office for sure, especially if you wear these without the foam (the foam help cover up the vents and muffle the leak, but does not silence it completely).
Overall, for the money, I'm glad I bought a few pairs. Will definitely be giving these to friends and family, so I may even buy more in the future (looks like Massdrop is thinking of dropping a different color soon?)
Those are some hairy looking foams. I bought a huge pack of generic ones for a buck or two on eBay from one of those Chinese sellers. Not sure if they are any better or worse, but there are options. It only took a week or so to ship to me in NJ. How ironic.
