This uses batteries, which is convenient if you want to swap them out. There are other versions of this online that have a rechargeable battery built in though if you're looking for that.
Also a warning, it uses a sticky pad on the end to stick to the surfaces. This will need to be replaced if you switch between surfaces a lot of it if gets dirty. Pads are sort of expensive at around $1 for each from the sites I've found so far.
