In response to others questions/concerns...
Band - Yes, the band is large (long?). It's like it's meant to be worn over a wet suit it's so long. I took all of the small links out for it to fit; I may add one back on. Alarm - Yes, I think the alarm is loud. I just figured out how to set it (thanks to this page) and tested it and am satisfied with its volume being able to wake me up in normal conditions. Don't forget to set the reference time so that the alarm goes off at the right time. Also, it only works within a 12 hour window.
