The hardwood version on Amazon is $45.26 with free shipping. Amazon also has the scale tools pictured. So ordering the hardwood version on Drop is a deal with shipping.
So in the pictures you can clearly see that on all of the models there is toothpick and tweezers in the handle scales. But neither are listed as tools included. So, I assume these are just old stock photos of a slightly different model that included those tools...? Or do these have them as well? This is really the difference between me buying one or not so would really appreciate a definitive answer. Thanks.
The Huntsman is a phenomenal package! My wife carries the standard version and I carry the walnut hardwood version anytime we're camping/hiking/etc. It has a very thought out toolset that is able to handle just about any task you throw at it.
Probably the best Victorinox in their line-up. This model is as big as you can really go and still have it feel comfortable in your pocket. I used this version as a wildland firefighter for over 20 years. The small saw was invaluable to me. Use the large knife blade for almost all cutting and keep the small blade sharp for medical (wood slivers) etc.
Just received my wood scaled woodsman and am disappointed to say that it does not invlude the toothpick and tweezers. Would not have purchased had it been made clear.
GallowaystxSuperstrange! I purchased the hardwood version because at Drop it has both tools included - which Victorinox itself has not available. That must have been one or two drops before, I received the version with both tools included, and this makes it such a phenomenal model! To bad...
Does anyone know if all colors of this version (or any of these colors) includes the very small eyeglasses size screw driver that used to screw into the cork screw on previous models? I had a red Huntsman that I got years ago that didn't have the saw, but featured the little eyeglasses size screw driver as well as a small LED light. Had it taken by security in Malaysia :(
Bwrtb17These don't, but looks like there is/was a Huntsman Plus that came with the plus scales (pen, small screwdriver, pin). You can get the little screwdriver separately... I've added them to all my SAKs.
Just wish it had a phillips head instead of a corkscrew. Mine has a phillips head but no saw. The screwdriver and saw are most handy for me! Also, a proper shot of the can opener usage might be helpful for some...
Thanks for pointing that out! I don't drink wine anymore, and I'm a stickler for all tools being useful on a SAK. I even use the toothpick and tweezers all the time! That saw, though, is very nice. Had one on my old knife.
quentin58I can vouch for the can opener function, I had a Swiss tool with the same can opener and it worked very well, much better than the one on my Leatherman.
