My watch just arrived. Surprised to see the second / sweep hand moves in 4 or 5 second increments rather than single seconds. Besides being annoying, it means timing anything by the second is rounded to the nearest 4 or 5 second increment. Disappointing. Is this jerky movement normal for the watch, or is it a malfunction of some kind?

Djw1066Change the battery - second hand jumping in five second intervals is a sign in certain models of a dying battery. Check the manual if one came with it. Pretty poor effort if the vendor is sending out watches without putting new batteries in them. 25th Jan: Mine showed up today, has the same issue straight out of the box. Replaced the battery and it's working right as rain. It's a sharp looking watch, has the best bezel action I've come across in ages, nice and tight but not stiff. Not sure about the colour scheme on the extra strap, but they are really nice quality. For a hundred bucks this is a great deal.
