If you’re looking for a better blade steel in this model, it is also available in Damascus....$400. Yikes!

What a worthless tool. If I have trouble with the screw top, I'm going to use my Leatherman. (You have to stop and think about how many bottles of Thunderbird one can buy for $110.) And if it did have a cork, they can be pushed into the bottle. They're not meant for reuse, are they?

Nice looking knife... 2 things:
  • I will chime in- the prices on this site are outrageous - so off to DHgate I go looking for a knockoff
  • A huge peeve of mine is a knife without a lock is as useless as a second bellybutton. I hate slipjoints.

Thoughts on your two points...
  1. The price on MassDrop was actually 20% lower than the current price on Amazon. Usually that's not the case but it ws with this knife.
  2. The knife blade DOES lock. It has a liner lock and the Victorinox logo is a button that releases the lock. Works well.

Hey! Thanks for setting me straight. That lock sounds sweet - I’ll give it another look.

This looks super classy! As a server in a fine dining restaurant, this may be a classy replacement for my other wine key.

A shameful waste of resources; all of the best wines have screw-off caps these days!

Is this price for real? It's not like victorinox makes bad stuff, but last time I checked, they used "stainless steel" with no name. And last time I tried to sharpen one, it developed the longest burr I have ever seen because the steel was so soft. I don't think their typical quality deserves this price. So unless there is a serious differentiation here from their usual offerings (which I'm not seeing in the description) then this price seems absurd.

Realtalk that is a lot of money for a (admittedly nice) wine key with a folding knife attached to it.
Although I guess spending that much money on one would guarantee you'd never forget it? "Oh a PICNIC you say let me fetch my PICNIC WINE MASTER posthaste!"

Man, I wish I was a big enough fan of swiss army stuff to pick this up. It is the first genuinely attractive knife I have ever seen from them, and damn is it attractive. That said, $130 is too much for me this time.
