Love the look of this finish, definitely an attention grabber. I only wish that Victorinox would come up with a replacement for the venerable corkscrew. There I said it, the corkscrew is no longer a have to have tool.

Excellent, and very versatile knife and tool combination. 1st class Swiss Army quality. Very utilitarian, can be used for all sorts of work, both inside and outside of the hime. Also a great tool to keep in you suitcase and vanity kit for traveling.

A good if slightly pricey SAK
I like the coating on the blades - it may be the same steel underneath but it certainly looks much classier than the uncoated. I like the set of tools on this model, just enough, not too much I like that the scales are a different colour, but the white is definitely much better then the black. I don't like shiny black plastic on that version, it actually makes it look cheaper. :(

Looks nice, great addition to my collection. No scissors though, those are my favorite SAK tools. I wish this finish was more widely available.

Very nice finish
Ordered the black knife by accident. Still quite striking. I imagine the contrast of the white scales are even more striking. Small scratches on one scale.

Bigger then expected
For having only 6 tools it's a lot thicker then I expected. Quality is what you'd image from victorinox.

Nice Twist on a Classic Knife
The black blades look great on this knife, and the selection of tools are nice without being too much.

Sooooo… I had been wanting and holding back on getting this knife for years. You may have completely moved on, but I finally caved in and bought one. It’s subtle, but I like it! It isn’t iridescent or opalescent in any way, which would have been fun in a fantasy sort of way, nor is it inky like DLC (Diamond like coating, I had two friends who bought Apple Watches this way). No, it’s a mirror finish silver like most Victorinox steel knives, but it has a smoke gray tint. It is, in fact, an oxide film that is deposited onto the steel using an electro-chemical process. [image] Here it is showing the reflection of my front window and front lawn off of the large blade. It’s so reflective (no pigment like a car paint to make it unable to reflect in full color) that you might be excused for thinking it just looks like normal chrome in pictures, but I promise it’s darker. [image] The tint is more easy to see here, as it reflects my white iPhone case and white ceiling. Victorinox’ care and maintenance instructions do say that the finish would be polished away by resharpening, and wear and scratches would also remove the finish. The knife IS sharp and very functional, and I think a wear pattern from use and brightening along the edges from pocket wear would look cool, but honestly, this is probably more of a Safe-Queen and collector’s model than a typical user. Personally, I am not a whole-hearted knife collector, but I got this because it does give me aesthetic pleasure, and I want to show it to product managers as an example of a cool, unique finish that I think would be outstanding on a headphone (or pen, flashlight, money clip, etc). It’s subtle but unique. Me like-y.
