I own a pair of Mod House double sided Tungstens. My Topping A90D on high gain, at 99 on the Volume, JUST didn't cut it! I had a VERY long chat with Ryan the Owner/Creator/Manufacturer of the Tungstens. He suggested the Violectric V222 awhile ago. He said that this Drop at under $1K there is nothing better! This is bar none the best price for it. Luckily, Affirm payments work and I pulled the trigger. I have been told by quite a few people this is an awesome amp for the $$$. Not everyone has well over $1K for better. It is a long road in the headphone amp business and Violectric makes a solid product. I saw a remark about 2.5 watts not being enough. As Ryan explains it, it's about the voltage and the gain. My Topping A90D is over 5 watts and can't run my cans, but this V222 can, it's NOT always about wattage... I can't wait!

The V222 is an absolutely wonderful amp, this is a terrific price and it looks like Drop is finally shipping.
One of the best products Drop has ever offered.

I see the words "Ready to ship". Is it true? Can anyone from Violectric explain the shipment status for the next buy?

SmallBatteryJust got notification with tracking that its shipping out. Had joined the initial first drop. Its possible there are units from people that cancelled their orders, and those are showing up as ready to ship now. If you want to take a chance on it.

SmallBatteryI think it’s because a lot of people who ordered on the first drop canceled their order but drop just got the full order from the vendor. I was part of the first drop and mine came today.

Cancelled order. Very disappointed with Drop customer service. Will think long and hard before signing up for another product offering.

I joined the original 1st drop, and cancelled my order near end of Jan. Saw the regular email saying it is ready to ship yesterday and order it immediately, now saying the estimated ship date is Feb 12, i.e. Monday
Looks like they are in stock now and lots of 1st drop buyers had cancelled their order (liked me), so they are available for immediate purchase.

I don't know if anyone is still following this drop, but if you're in the states and act quickly — you have until the 31st [of January] — you can skip the long wait and still save quite a bit off the asking price. How? Find it (The V222) on power-holdings-inc.com (an official , authorized dealer with actual customer service) and use the coupon code "DropThePrice" at checkout. Thank me later. ^^

Incidentally, I bought the violectric DHA v590 v2 directly from lake people instead of the V222, and what I was told at the time was that they had not received any orders from this vendor.
It could be that the person I ordered from just didn't know, but if true, we were just used as a temporary fundraiser.

GEKIKARAI’ve contacted support twice and both times they were responsive, but don’t seem to have any idea where the item is…just that they have not yet received the amps from the vendor yet. Lat communication was a couple of weeks ago. It seems their communication with the vendor is as bad as it is with their customers on this one. I will add I have been with drop for years and participated in many drops when they were still Massdrop. I’ve never had this terrible of an experience with them before and it is really disappointing to see this apparent lack of effort.

mecengIt is infuriating that the product is delayed in shipping.
But more than that, I am furious that there is no announcement from DROP.
It feels like they are waiting for us to cancel our order by not contacting the customer at all.
I have a problem with the way Drop has handled this issue and I hope they improve...
