This is a scam! DO NOT purchase this product!
Two months have passed since we purchased the product and one month past the expected shipping date and we still have not received the product.
No contact from Drop.
We paid 949$ the day after purchase and got nothing.
I will say it again.
This is a scam! DO NOT purchase this product!
GEKIKARAI simply don't see your basis for contending that Drop's offer of sale for the V222 is a scam.
Maybe you didn't receive the notification I did, but on November 15, 2023, I received an email from Drop, acknowledging the delay in delivery and offering purchasers from the first drop the option to cancel their orders.
I'm not here to make excuses for Drop. I don't like having my receipt of a fairly expensive piece of hifi equipment delayed by over a month. (And, by the way, the shipping date from the first drop was "estimated," not definite.) But then, Drop isn't Amazon and, if you're like me, you're willing to suffer some inconvenience for a lower level of customer service and a discount of approximately $350.00. Ten calendar days from 11/28, the day I received a response from Drop's distributor, is 12/8. If you can't wait that long for notification that your order has shipped, then cancel. At least that way, you won't have reason to claim that you're being scammed any longer.
So, I see there is another drop for the V222..We all ordered ours in September for the estimated shipping date of November 9th. It is now almost the first of December and we still haven't received our orders from September..There has been zero communication from Drop. The responses I get from the e-mails that I have sent are vague at best. They were quick to take $949 from each of us, but yet we still haven't received our product. The new estimated shipping date is 12/29. I am really tempted just to cancel my order and purchase a Schiit Mjolnir 3. I don't mind waiting for a product, but the lack of communication from Drop is unacceptable. It isn't hard to send an e-mail out to the people who purchased them and let them know what is going on.
Delivery Update
I received an email today from AM&S, who identify themselves as distributor for Lake People in the U.S. AM&S claim responsibility for the delay in shipments of the Drop order of V222s and represent that they will be shipping to Drop customers within 7-10 days. AM&S didn't specify whether that was business or calendar days. I note that AM&S cc'd Lake People on the email sent to me. We shall see what happens.
Squeaky wheel gets the grease? Draw your own conclusions. Slim
Drop told me they were keeping an eye on the situation, but had nothing to report. Considering that, as of this message, we're now +2 weeks past the intended delivery date. Maybe complaints to the Chairman and/or Managing Director might impel some action on Violectric's part, considering something like >40 units sold on Drop and no satisfied customers able to regale other audiophiles with the glories of their product:

GEKIKARAWhoa there. I’m frustrated too so I submitted a support request. They are still waiting on their shipment from the vendor. I agree communication could be more forthcoming but calling the Scumbag is a bit over the top.
