The Violectric HPA V340 takes an elegant, no-nonsense approach: providing low-noise, high-headroom amplification to add polish and nuance to your high-impedance headphones. The all-black design is decidedly unflashy, meaning its goal isn’t to stand out on your desk, but rather blend in nicely with sleeker setups. On the inside, cutting-edge circuitry and four separate amps deliver exceptional performance, which Violeletric optimized based on internal testing, as well as outside tests from award-winning audio brands Lake People and Niimbus. You can seamlessly switch between six output levels, ranging from 740 milliwatts at 600 ohms to 5,000 milliwatts at 50 ohms, and even 2,500 milliwatts at 16 ohms. Sound is piped in through two unbalanced stereo RCA inputs. For expanded connectivity, the HPA V340 is equipped with RCA outputs, plus balanced XLR outs for use in wider setups, in addition to the requisite headphone outputs with two port options on the front.
