It’s gonna take the V281 to get me to drop on another Violectric.
At which point I’m selling the 789THX...unless, when I get this
V850 going it starts to shine.

OfframpYup, the V281 to me is just legendary. It seems to make sibilant headphones behave properly. It tamed my KXX, HD800S & HE6SE.

vken27You really never see those amps for resell. Owners tend to keep them.
I’ve got some really old Sennheiser’s HD425 and an AKG parabolic K280. I’ve owned both from new. The AKG I have no problem driving but the 425 I have yet to find an amp that can really drive it. Hence my continued interest in the V281. I dropped on the 550 but I’mmmmm not sure when it comes to driving the 425. Would you believe they still sell ear pads for that.
