Curious why people aren't biting on this? Seems like a decent deal, are there better alternatives for the price or am I missing something?

NoMuffinForYouI think the Massdrop VAST is a more compelling option at 35", but I didn't expect everyone to think that.

JaybzeeSame, that's probably an overall better monitor, but for $100 less this still seems mighty compelling

NoMuffinForYouIn short: you get what you pay for. 1080p resolution won't give a very clear, detailed image. VA panel - most likely, dark to dark transitions will be slow (either lots of overshot or ghosting), 1 year warranty... I'll skip this one. My biggest issue - I can't go to a local shop and check it out before purchase. No local shops have VAST monitors.

Shinigami841080uw actually looks far more reasonable than you'd expect. 1440uw does look better, but you give up a lot of refresh rate for that bump in resolution. As for the VAST, I'm guessing it uses the same panel that's in the Omen X35, Agon AG352UCG, and Z35p, so if you can find one of those to test, it will give you a pretty good idea of what to expect from the VAST.
