Will diamond or ceramic stones be offered?
DanielJSYes, I just have to raise more funds to get it. You guys are helping with that right here! Thank you. I'm improving every step of the process along the way. I have been thinking about going to Kickstarter for version 2 and funds for the Diamond stones. It is very costly of course to get those started.

1stmeridianHave you thought about offering a "Holder" version, so you can add 3'd party stones?
Hjaltiyes, for now the best I can do is offer the blank stone plates which can be glued to any stone. I'll work on any solutions I can but my time and funds are limited so upgrades will come as soon as I'm able.

1stmeridianI would suggest offering EZE-LAP stones with your system. The combination of mono and polycrystalline diamonds make them a good performer for a long time and they're as good as DMT hones for considerably less. I'd like to believe that EZE-LAP would consider a partnership or at least a deal in order to put them on the market more than they already are.
I would also suggest making the stones at least 6 inches long and tapping the end of the guide rod and offering an extension rod to sharpen longer knives.
Lastly, I would suggest offering a nicely machined plate for the base with some knurled screws. Showing someone drilling it to a piece of plyboard is low class. Not ineffective, but it doesn't look good.
These options would make it formidable at the $300- $350 price range.
You should focus on the swivel for the guide rod you're using as a basic feature. Most sharpeners don't offer that as a basic feature and it's a really good one.
RussBThanks Russ. I appreciate the insight and suggestions. I'll see what I can do with all this. I have been working and will continue to work on upgrading it.
