I have just received my stands (Ordered 2qty) and also received the wrong units(weighted base). I have taken pictures of the product and emailed the vendor. Hopefully this gets corrected soon.
jbuddhaSo I just got a reply from Tony saying they’re out of stock with the correct mounts. I have the option of keeping the stand with a $5 refund or return them for the full amount. Looks like they’re getting shipped back today. Too bad, I was looking forward to using the stand at work. On the plus side, the response time was quick from the mass drop team.
jbuddhaThese were the options i was given by Massdrop when i contacted customer support and sent them pictures of what i received
" A.) You can return your entire unit for a refund at no additional cost to you.
B.) You can keep your order as-is and we can issue a partial refund for $17.50 USD. "
a half refund is respectable when this is a pretty big slip up that could have been easily resolved if they checked the boxes before shipping it out to us. it covers the cost of ordering and shipping the needed parts from Vivo ("Yes we can send the clamp and clamp base. The cost is $5.00 plus $7.00 shipping.") plus compensate for the lost time spent on needing to contact Vivo in the first place.
Just like what KSeverin says - I ordered two and I was shipped two of the wrong units. I ordered the STAND-V012 (c-clamp base) as advertised but got the STAND-V012F (weighted-base). Now I have to take pictures of the packaging, labeling, invoice, and such - to what point? I guess to show proof that I was not lying and their shipper made a mistake. I just want to get these mess rectified.
I'd just like to point out that the base to attach to a desk is different from the one advertised here. On top of that, this base REQUIRES you to drill a hole in your desk as opposed to just clamping on like the advertised design shows. Why couldn't the updated design be advertised!!!! I do not want to modify my desk and I do not have as much faith in the strength of this design.
I have this exact Vivo dual monitor mount. Let me know if you've any user's experience related question. If you look at the attached picture, you will see that I am not using it for dual monitor. I only used it for one monitor and didn't attach the arm on the other end. When I was looking for tall monitor mount, it was actually cheaper for me to get a dual than a single arm.
