YourAverageConsumerThis is likely no fault of Drop nor the manufacturer and was almost guaranteed to have been caused during transport by a courier who valued timeliness over a more careful or methodical approach. When a package that heavy gets tossed around in transportation there isn't much you can do to save the cardboard packaging from being punctured or torn and it isn't worth shipping in a wooden box as the desk isn't fragile enough for that to justify the added cost in doing so. If you look through the reviews a lot of people mention the cardboard packaging being damaged. The difference is, and the reason for my comment in the first place is, none of those people gave the desk a lower rating because they all recognized that wasn't caused by the negligence of Drop or Vivo and therefore they shouldn't receive a lower rating because of it. You're giving this desk by Vivo a 1-star rating because of something that occurred in transportation by the courier, where Vivo nor Drop had absolutely any control over what happened during that period. That's why packages have insurance. If your package was damaged and you feel it affected the contents in said package, then you're supposed to contact the courier that delivered it and let them know what happened. Or, I'm sure Vivo and Drop both have pretty good shipping insurance policies, so if you contact either one of them and let them know what happened, they will take care of it and then the courier will reimburse them for the cost. Your box being damaged in shipping does not make this product a 1 out of 5 stars and you are punishing a company who makes a great product by lowering their rating in a world where ratings are often the difference between a thriving business and declaring bankruptcy. P.S. you don't sound very thrilled about the desk seeing as this is still your review months after receiving and using the product. If you don't want the desk and would like the money you paid for it back, I will gladly take it off your hands and make that exchange with you. You can even send it over in that same ripped cardboard box if you'd like so you don't have to purchase a new one.
