How are they getting enough orders for this when on amazon its +$3 and ships to your house immediately and the non-USB version is only +$1? It was the same price difference on the last drop.
Decided to test my luck on the size limit. Figured being 8 lbs. below weight limit would give some wiggle room. Has anyone figured a way to tighten or strengthen this axis of the arm?
AlexCrozierWhat the heck are you using that’s that big and only weights 5lbs? My 27” is already a good bit too heavy for this mount.
They do have a beefier model, the V001Q, which is rated to 20lbs. And then of course there’s the Ergotech Freedom HD, rated out to 30lbs.
Well, for $3 more you can get this mount delivered tomorrow from Amazon and not have to wait for 10 people to purchase to get the "lowest price," much less wait until November 9th for shipping.
Massdrop, you're excellent at curating cool products but horrible at offering any value. I want to buy more stuff from you but it's almost like you go out of the way to be the least attractive purchasing option.
Drose25And it seems to ship internationally, while Massdrop haven't sold any of their vesa arms internationally(at least while I was trying to buy).
I ended up buying my Freedom HD from Amazon as well.
Plenty of stuff I want to buy through Massdrop, but lots of flaws in the process. A lot of the cool stuff I see on Massdrop, and never knew about, I go and order through Amazon instead because:
Either they don't ship it internationally or they don't offer a customs service as an option, and special items get stuck there. My case was Wifi Anova, even though it's an absurdity from my country's customs and buying either directly from Anova or from Amazon doesn't get it stuck there.
So I'm staying for the curated products and sometimes for the Massdrop made items.
Avey2017Don't see this at Amazon for $32. Different company product?? But did find this product for $35.99 without the USB ports ($34.99 Massdrop), Currently is $42.99 with the USB ports at Amazon.
I wouldn't mind paying the $3 more for the USB version ($42.99 Amazon vs $39.99 Massdrop). Both offer free shipping for this product. However, I would have to pay sales tax for my Amazon purchase, as they have a presence in my state. That would add about another $4 to the purchase for me. So, Massdrop saves me about $7.
Philosophic7567Older 28"?? My new 27" Acer weights only 12 lbs without it's stand.
What's interesting here at Massdrop, though, it that Vivo is offering the dual mount version of this stand, and claims it will hold two monitors weighting up to 14 lbs each. So, I'm thinking the single mount will do at least 14 lb. However, I'm not sure there is any 34" monitor on the market that weighs under 14 lbs.
This isn't a discount. Amazon has this exact version for $42 without having to wait two weeks for shipping. If you want an even better deal, Walmart has the version w/o usb ports for only $29. How can Massdrop possibly show a list price of $69 when it's impossible to even find it at that price?
