Has anyone used one of these for Japanese input? You need to use two keys to go between roman and kana-via-romanized input. Perhaps the Pn key could be used for one of these, and maybe Fn+Pn for the other? Can that be done?
Also, could the Caps key be turned into a Ctrl key as in the JIS standard? (I like that layout on my HHKB Professional JP.) (I think the other JIS layout idiosyncrasies are made irrelevant/impossible because of the missing keys on the right.)

If you are fine with English keyboard + Japanese IME experience, it works (できます--typed with Core on Windows).  PN key is not programmable, but you can program other key to LAlt+~ or something.  That's standard programming.  So is turning Caps key to Ctrl. RE: emulating JIS layout, it depends on what you want to do, but it gets tricky real quick. Keep in mind I don't input Japanese much, I may be overlooking something.
