One other thing you should know: the white Pok3r with white LEDs is officially available for preorder from Vortex and is expected to ship in October. Obviously, it will be more expensive than this model, but it's something to consider if LEDs are important to you.

VarholiaglimpIf you order it from Mechanical Keyboards, they only charge an extra $10 for LED vs. non-LED, which is a really fair price (I just payed $10 for a set of LEDs for a 60%.) Although, with the newest firmware you can just put your own LEDs in, and you can have whatever color you want.

KaminKevWhere exactly are you seeing the Pok3r with custom LEDs offered on Mechanical Keyboards, let alone Vortex's preorder for the official version with white LEDs?

VarholiaglimpIt's right here: https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=1419
Also KaminKev wasn't saying they offer custom LEDs. He was saying you could buy a POK3R and put in your own LEDs by yourself.

AyynoNone of the keyboards shown on your linked page is the Vortex Pok3r, and there are absolutely no links to the white-Pok3r-with-white-LEDs preorder. Both KaminKev and you have offered potentially useful information in the form of tangets that imply you've made some kind of correction to my posts. I believe that your links and comments were intended to be useful, but the phrasing makes them function as red herrings that deflect people from the original point:
That people who wish to wait until late October may preorder Pok3rs with factory-installed LEDs that don't require customization or void warranties, but do include LED-related enhancements by Vortex, etc.
Also, KK's original post was phrased in such an open-ended way that it easily could be construed by readers as recommending Mechanical Keyboards as a customizing LED service. I didn't believe that that unintended inference was correct. I merely asked a question that (tactfully, I'd hoped) pointed out the fallacy of a harmless straw man.
If people want to add their own LEDs, that's their business. But to pose the option as a seeming rebuttal to useful information about forthcoming Pok3r options is unnecessarily confusing. Here's how I would have put it: "One alternative to buying a Pok3r with preinstalled LEDs is to install them yourself. You can buy the LEDs here [insert link to specific page]."

VarholiaglimpThere are links to the POK3R with white LEDs. I guess I posted the wrong link, which is my bad.
You could also easily go to Mechanical Keyboards and look it up yourself and see that it does, indeed, exist. I don't really understand why you're making such a thing out of this...

VarholiaglimpThere are Vortex POK3R with White LEDs.
EDIT: Looks like the link won't go through (Massdrop's comment box automatically truncates the actual part of the items ID.).

ZiggyStarThanks, ZS; I posted the same link 19 hours ago, as you've probably noticed by now. Interesting that Massdrop converts the target link to the home page instead of the product page.
Did you wonder (as I did) whether the low price might have been a mistake?

VarholiaglimpSorry if my statement was somewhat ambiguous; I meant that the official version of the Pok3r was on Mechanical Keyboards for preorder, and that if you wanted white LEDs, it would be a similar price to buying your own, and installing them in the board. Not that Mechanical Keyboards was offering custom LED services.
If you go on Mech. Keyboards site, you will see the white backlit ones on their Vortex Keyboards product page.
