mttchnYeah It's the 30 inch Apple HD Cinema Display 2560x1600 I think it's the last monitor Apple made that could be hooked up to a PC.

GamerVoiceIf you have a Thunderbolt PCI card or onboard ports, you can still hook up the Apple Thunderbolt Display to a PC ;) (this is my personal setup).

mttchnThanks man ^_^ The monitor was way ahead of it's time. It's higher than 1440p and it's from 14 years ago..

GamerVoiceDo you still need a special video card to drive it using the Dual Link DVI?
I have an SGI 1600SW that was also ahead of it's time when it came out. It needs to use a special adapter in order to use DVI with it though.

mttchnYeah, it connects via DVI. My gtx 1070 strix has a port for it... but I think they are phasing out DVI from now on. How does your adapter work?

GamerVoiceIt needs a thing called a multilink adapter, also made by SGI specifically for that monitor. The multilink adapter also needs it's own power, so it's not so convenient.
It's needed because the monitor uses a totally different interface called OpenLDI
