Product Description
The Vortex VIBE is a riff on the popular 83-key Vortex Race 3 keyboard. After requests to include a numpad (which the Race 3 lacked) and to remove the function keys (which it had), Vortex heeded the call Read More

This is my first "compact" keyboard (even though it still has a numpad) I LOVE IT. I got clear switches and coming from red switches it was night and day. I might go brown for my next keyboard but for now i am enjoying these clears. The key caps feel smooth and have a beautiful look. I went with the purple and blue pastel keys and they look awesome.
Overall very satisfied with this purchase.

Great keyboard, it doesn't feel cramped with the reduced size, it actually feels just right.
When the keypad is in arrow key mode, keys '1' and '3' seem to map to the same internal key code. So you can't even bind say, Fn+1 to be one and Fn+3 to be three because they would overwrite each other.
I'm finding it hard to find a comfortable compromise that lets me use the numpad and arrow keys without switching keypad modes all the time.

d0x2fI know i can program the arrow keys where the 0,00, . and 2 are. But can i also program the numbers 0 to 9 by moving 1 row higher. This way i can have both arrow cluster and numbers. I dont need 00. So 0 will be where the 1 is presently.

Gorgeous keyboard.
All my problems with it were/are focused on the "escape" key.
When I got it, the escape key was flaky, it didn't always work when I pressed it. After pulling all the keycaps and getting to the PCB, the problem I suspected was visible-- one of the pins on the escape key was not soldered. That was easily fixable with a soldering iron. If anyone else has problems with intermittent contact on specific keys, I would recommend you do what I did.
Other than that, I would have preferred that "~" was accessible with <shift> rather than <Fn>.

Pretty awesome with MX Clears, they feel nice. So far I have tried only the uniform R3 SA keycaps the KB ships with and SA Dasher that is sculptured SA and both feel good in combination with the MX Clears.
The uniform R3 dye-subbed PBT caps that ship with the board are pretty thick and cool, some of the best keycaps to be shipped with a KB and they also feature several optional accent colors allowing for several combinations.
The KB comes in a very interesting round shaped box that reminds me of the boxes that single malts are packaged in. Thumbs up for the original packaging!
The firmware finally allows the remapping of Fn to Caps and is stable enough to be used. All in all is a nice complement to the Pok3r if you require dedicated arrow keys and/or a numpad. The MPC online profile generator seems to support the Vibe, now we wait only for the required firmware support to finally arrive.
Too bad that there's no version with Cherry MX Silent Black being offered. Also there's no RGB version but the PCB is known to actually support RGB and the review units shipped with SMD leds soldered. MX Silent Black with RGB backlight to highlight the keycaps would have been a very interesting combination.

I loved the keyboard. I work in purchasing and rarely need the arrow keys but the numpad is essential. This was working incredibly well for the first couple of weeks until the connection decided it wanted to be intermittent. I thought I may have just had a faulty wire so I got a new one. Still intermittent. I have tried multiple USB ports on different computers to no avail. I am really disappointed that this has broken so soon. I bought this as a birthday present to myself and wouldn't normally justify spending this amount of money on something and now I see I shouldn't have bothered.
Customer service team were fab but had no keyboards left so I had to settle for a refund which is something I was trying to avoid. I guess it's back to the WhiteFox I go...

Great layout
very compact but functional layout and nice low profile look. I do wish it wasn’t totally flat though.

perfect layout.
I love the combination of a very good tactile pbt keycap and a perfect layout. But there is a bit of a keycap shape problem

Got this back in 2018 for work. I like the layout a lot, also love being able to map layers on the fly (no need for flashing software). The stock keycaps on these are SA profile, a tad bit too tall for me without a wrist rest but good quality nonetheless.

Great quality, Great key caps, Great switches. Solid build
Going to start with any negatives, not backlit (but not taking of a star for this), the home keys are not marked, but if you are an avid typist then it won't really be a problem, just thought that marked home keys was a universal thing. Due to the height of the keyboard with the keys, it is recommended that you have a wrist rest with this ( I am using the glorious pc gaming pad and it goes very will with it) The keys are a great shape, very easy to type with, the key-caps are solid quality. The build quality is solid, no flex at all the frame is well built and switches are great. I am used to blue tactile switches and you have to bottom these out to get any input, which is not hard since they are so light. The best part is that you get a full keypad and function keys but it still stays in a compact size. Gaming on this keyboard is fine, it is best for typing, my wpm have increased, have made less typos also.
