Is this a hacking calibre? Does it have manual winding? I know the cheaper Orient do not do either but are very accurate... Way more than stated here.

Cool watch I might be tempted, but only one watch at a time and right now I'm waiting for a Citizen high beat 36000 bph from the early seventies, for a project... And have only good things to say about Vostok Europe. My "Vostok Europe Mriya 2 AN-225 Automatic (NH35-5555235)" holds the time as well as my "Certina DS PH200M"

I googled the supposedly Seiko movement, and learned it is actually an Orient, not a Seiko movement, from a company partly owned by Seiko. Doesn't mean it isn't good.

I have a few Orients and they are as good as Seiko. Only difference is the quality of bezel, clasp, etc.

Highlights from the copy: "Featuring tall, rigid Arabic numerals at the hours" -A definite plus; short, saggy, flexible numerals are often difficult to read "Power-reserve indicator, showing 40 for a full charge and 00 when the watch needs a wind." -Another plus--it's confusing when 00 means fully-wound "The chapter ring, which is divided into intervals of five for minutes." -A major improvement over my other watches, where the dial is divided into seven-minute intervals.

Very nice watches, cool design . I like all versions. Interesting movement too. I’ve never heard of it before. I wonder what other watches use this Seiko Epson movement ?

I like the blue hands and numerals, but not the rose gold that goes with it. Put those blue hands on any of the other cases and I'd be on board!

I have a Vostok-Europe watch from the Limo line and I like it. Cool watches, not too pricey, very distinctive designs, and in these models, all Seiko guts--what's not to like? Ha--I'll tell you--no unidirectional bezel, no helium release valve, no 300m water resistance, etc..., etc..!

MD claimed it uses the "Miyota OS22 quartz" movement. No reason to doubt them, but no reason to believe them either, if you know what I mean ;- ) Here's a link to the drop: https://drop.com/buy/vostok-europe-gaz-14-limo-quartz-chronograph-watch/details#details But if you're really interested, I'd do my own research just to be sure... I'm told you can distinguish a straight Quartz chronograph movement from Mecha-quartz movements because the latter's sweep second hand snaps back to 12:00 instantly (rather than the slow sweep backwards of the straight-quartz). I could easily have that backwards, so you'd best look it up for yourself. Meanwhile, the movement on mine does have one especially cool complication: the sub dial at 6:00 o'clock swings (wildly) back and forth (pendulum-like) to count the 20th's of the first 60 seconds (only). Not that I often have occasion to time events to the twentieth of a second, but evidently if you did, this watch, and that movement could accommodate you.

Thanks! :-) And you're right on the mecha-quartz assumption. Not only do the big seconds hand returns instantly but all the other register's hands, as well, thus mimic'ing an automatic chronograph. And yes, the sub-froyante register at 6:00 is what reminded me of my Casio watch. It's a cool feature, you're right! Cheers!

Is there any lume? I must need my eyes checked but it looks like there may be something on the hour & minute hands.

Yes, there is a lume on both hands. Checked it on a VE page.
