I personally have never been attracted to vostok but a myota Quartz on a strap is even less appealing than a real automatic vostok I think the quality is questionable and it seems to be a roll of the dice to get a good one but I do understand they have a following i don’t see any value here this seems to me like it should be in the $100 range

Notice: This is NOT a Vostok watch! This is a Vostok Europe watch. Vostok and Vostok Europe are different companies in different countries and with different catalogs but with a shared origin. Vostok Europe https://www.vostok-europe.com/about-us/ makes modern watches (in the style similar to Invicta watches) using relatively modern tooling. Movements are generally modern and sourced from a variety of outside vendors. Vostok http://vostokinc.com is a legacy Soviet brand. They make heritage style watches from the soviet era in addition to newer models with more modern styling. Movements are similar to the ones used decades ago and made with a lot of the original equipment. Most movements are "in-house" made, easy to modify and repair.

You can see it on the dial too. I'm a collector of Vostok watches and there is no end of confusion because of the similar naming. Not mad or anything just wanted to set the record straight. Oh, and both brands have their positive and negative aspects. It wasn't my intention to denigrate one or the other.

that said, I may have misunderstood what you were saying by "invented that line". I read that as invented VE. But I think you mean invented the line of huge watches.
