Just started DE shaving.. had my second one this morning and now this comes up! I'm just two shaves in and already considering a new brush. Currently have a relatively inexpensive ($15) Omega 11047 "Mixed Midget" brush that gives my hand a cramp due to its teeny tiny size, and I've already dropped it once. Plus it's a bit scratchy feeling (not uncomfortably so, but noticeable).
Was going to get a WSP silvertip for a bit less at about $50, but this is really tempting!

Welcome to wet shaving! Sounds like you're starting to develop acquisition disorder. Be warned, it's a slippery slope :).
The omega brush you're using is scratchy because of the boar hair content. Try a full badger brush (like the one here) and you probably won't look back.

DemandriusWell, I'll just be trading one AqD for another, can't feed both my audiophilia nervosa and a shaving compulsion at the same time (admittedly, the former can be a bit more expensive).
I knew what I was getting into the Omega 11047 boar/badger mix, but seemed prudent for just starting out and it will work well as a travel brush.
The only thing that has me worried with the Vulfix 11047 is the size... is it just too much brush, will it be too large in my hands (just have average size paws), will it cover too much of my face (I have a narrow head), and will it require a pot instead of a small bowl/mug to lather in?

I'm not a pro wet shaver, but FWIW I have had no problem with the size (and I'm of slim/average size with a narrow head).

IanAndersonDo you bowl, hand or face lather? Just curious how big a bowl is needed to properly accommodate this brush. I've seen some pictures, but nothing too specific. Thanks!
