I had the previous generation of these and they were fragile toys that rattled and split apart. Clearly at the time Wacom didn't care about quality. I wonder if they got theur act together...
Call me a pessimist but without an eraser there is no point getting this tablet. It's the same as the chinese alternatives...

I got one of these for free with some software that I purchased elsewhere so I can't speak to the pricing, but I thought I'd chime in on the quality and functionality.
Overall, I like it and don't have any complaints. Some tablets require that you wear a sort of half-glove over your palm, pinky, and ring fingers, to keep from triggering the pad while you draw. This tablet doesn't have that problem; it only responds to the pen. You can purchase a separate piece of hardware that plugs in on the bottom side and enables wireless connectivity to your PC. The built-in buttons on the tablet are nice, and can be used to execute frequent actions like CTRL+Z. I have only used it in Photoshop, and it works very well.
Again, I don't know about the price, but it's a great addition for intermediate artists. Good luck!

user73Regarding the Art version tablet that has both pen and finger gestures--was thinking you might be right, better to get this Draw version since it's only pen.
However looks like it should be a non issue in the Art version. Found this in a review online from tabletforartists.com "If the pen is touching or hovering over the tablet, touch will be disabled. Touch can also be shut off via an Express Key."

MSRP for this is 79.99. If it were the Draw & Touch, that is MSRP 99.99. This tablet ONLY works with the stylus. It DOES NOT have the added touchpad functionality.
http://www.wacom.com/en-us/products/pen-tablets/intuos-draw - No Touch functionality!
