I love having a bright light box that I can have in my lap while sitting in the recliner! It's only about a half inch thick, but the surface is not flimsy or "delicate" feeling. The on/off switch is also a dimmer switch, so you can adjust the brightness of the light surface to your comfort level. The only caveat I would offer is that the on/off switch is VERY sensitive. Brushing your hand across will turn it off. Or on. As the case might be. But just as easy to turn back on.

The Wafer Lightbox has made my life so much easier. I use it for tracing patterns for applique and for making labels. And I enjoy the variable light option that it has - there are times when I need the full light to see through my image enough to trace it but other times when just a bit of light works better, by touching the on/off "button" I can control the amount of light on the table wonderfully. Creating labels for my fiber art and then using the lightbox to create them with Pigma pens has been easy and fun.
